Hi All,

can you please let me know where i can check the TDS transaction of zerodha reflecting in form 26AS. and on which transaction does broker has charged?

Any TDS transactions deducted from our end can be checked on form 26AS, you can check this website for details Home | Income Tax Department

Hey @Amey1,

You’ll find TDS deducted and deposited on your behalf, advance tax, self-assement tax paid, high-vaue transactions etc in your Form 26AS.

Here are the step to download your Form 26AS

@Quicko : TDS deducted on the NMDC dividends given during Mar 2021 don’t appear on 26AS. I have even written to registrar but response. Does anyone face similar issue ? .

I’m aware of this, but on which particular thing it is deducted that I’m not able to find out in any statement or as such I don’t have received any communication on this. Where to check details, even broker is not responding. As per my knowledge, my dividend income is not more than Rs. 5000/- but still TDS deducted, & there is no transaction entry reflecting in any statements. !!!

You can check your dividend payout details in your ledger statement.

TDS is also deducted if you sell your holdings on ex-date or record date and Zerodha receives the dividend on your behalf before crediting it to your Zerodha ledger and as such, there is no limit of Rs 5000 per say.

Updation of 26AS depends upon the TDS return filing by the deductor. Once the deductor files the TDS return then after 3-10 days 26AS gets updated.

If TDS has been deducted from your income and the deductor files the return then it will surely reflect in your Form 26AS.

Note: Due date for filing TDS return for Q4 of FY 20-21 was 15.07.2021.
You can download the latest 26AS after some days and check again.

there is no record in ledger statement for TDS deduction

i checked no entry & no record anywhere it was for FY2020-21
