I have been using sensibull’s technical signals to try some strategies. I was wondering about what exactly the moving average signals exactly are. Are they based on implying a crossover, or is it just opening above/below some MA? Also are they based on the closing values of previous day or opening of the day?

This is implying that the price touches a moving average. The crossover could be from above or below. May be the crossover might not complete, as that is something that needs confirmation
The moving average could be hourly or daily. Basically the moving average is between the high and low of the stock price in that time interval
We are just making it easy for you to shortlist all the stocks where there is a potential crossover
