This Could be it FnO Traders!

Today one lot of Banknifty short margin money requirement was 53 k in upstox
And 80 k in Icici direct
Why changed margin ???
Was rule for upstox was different by exchange :grin:

Yes that’s true margin is required by exchange but sir no rule is defined that money must be from client…
This is what SEBI is going to make rule

@Sharmarohit i agrred sir ji , can you please screenshot the margin requirment in spread trade , because confusion will be cleared , after words we can open in icici direct ,

its really confusing :innocent::innocent::innocent::innocent:

Yes this is problem with them
Customer service is not good

Yes Sharmaji… Please share a small screenshot…

Which is giving margin benefit for “positional” trade…

@Sharmarohit if one gets it right then 100% profit …this is incredible…is there any catch with this …i mean brokerage and other charges ?

I respect your efforts but since it’s a bull call Is a debit strategy the cost shown in above screenshot is the amount which would be e de debited from ledger and not the margin that would be blocked.

i agreed sir , this is pay off before taking a position ,
if you take a position or trade then how much margin they are collecting thats only we need , this is payoff screenshot

Ok… I have one final doubt… If I open anyone of these spread trades… AM I ALLOWED TO HOLD IT TILL EXPIRY ?

OR… IS THIS ALLOWED ONLY FOR INTRADAY ?

Rarely but I trade positional so I know that is margin blocked

Positional

THIS IS INCREDIBLE… even though it is a debit spread… normally AROUND 80k would be blocked…

Please see this screenshot

I constructed the same spread using opstra…

If the cost is sooo low… it means icici is ALREADY GIVING REDUCED MARGIN BENEFIT FOR HEDGED TRADES…

The limitation is… Only NIFTY is allowed… based on what I’m seeing here…

LOVELY!!

But guys don’t worry SEBI will soon make rule for hedged margin benefit

But if anyone really want to make money then go with naked options
Don’t hedge them

Sharmaji… Where were you hiding all these days :stuck_out_tongue: haha

People are dying for this type of benefit and you seem to silently enjoy it :stuck_out_tongue:

No actually I usually don’t take hedged position but take
99% times highly risky naked position

But negotiate with them

In the screenshot… it mentions… Max Profit… Max. Loss and Total Cost…

So, if “Total Cost” is the amount blocked for opening that trade… then it clearly means ICICI is giving this hedged margin benefit…

Logon ko bewakoof banake konsa sakoon milta hai dilko tumhare?
In options trading “cost” means cost in terms of premium only.
It doesn’t mean margin blocked.
