Thoughts on sharing live positions on Sensibull?

Genuine question.

Many people share their live positions and PnL on Sensibull. Some are making great money, some are losing. While it’s transparent, I feel sharing live position can create FOMO and influence traders to enter instruments just because someone else is profitable.

I’ve personally experienced this, I took a Silver trade after seeing a strong live PnL and ended up with a loss. It made me think about whether live position sharing actually helps traders, or mainly encourages impulsive copy-style trades.

In your opinion. what are ways in which it can actually help traders?

I get why they want to stop scams, especially fake P&L screenshots. But honestly, live positions shouldn’t be shared at all. In fact, platforms themselves shouldn’t allow it. Sharing live trades just creates unnecessary FOMO and pushes people to trade without thinking. EOD pnl links are fine. Only the people who want to sell anything or gain followers or want to spread gyan can share verified EOD pnl links.

Right.
So, are there any ways at all
by which looking at shared live positions can help a trader?

Help traders? By educating them.

So folks with patience and time will benefit from such information,
whereas others who are busy or lazy will be hurt ?

I suspect most folks are in the latter bucket, so such features do more harm than good. :person_shrugging:
