Cloudflare powers ~20–25% of global internet traffic, so when they face an outage, it impacts a large part of the internet simultaneously. Today, a brief Cloudflare outage affected Kite along with many brokers, fintech platforms, and other online services worldwide.
This is exactly why Kite Backup on WhatsApp was built, it works independently of our main systems. Even when external outages impact Kite, users can still exit positions through WhatsApp.
Only a few thousand users tried the WhatsApp backup today. Sharing this so more people are aware of it and can use it when needed.
