Trade from Chart (TFC) is now available on the Kite App

We are excited to announce that one of our most requested features, Trade from Chart (TFC), is now available in the beta environment. We expect this update to roll out to the live environment in the next few days.

TFC is designed to make the trading experience more intuitive by allowing users to place, modify, and manage orders and positions directly from the TradingView charts.

What’s new in TFC:

  • All-New Mini Order Window: Place quick Market or Limit orders (MIS/CNC/NRML) without obscuring your chart view. For advanced order types like Stop Loss, Iceberg, or Cover orders, simply expand the window to access the full interface.

  • Trade Directly from the Chart:
    • Precision Entry: Long-press to activate the crosshair, select the price on the Y-axis, and click the ‘+’ icon to pick the price.
      Precision_entry_video

    • Market Orders: Place market orders by tapping the Buy/Sell button on the chart.
      One_Tap_Market_order

    • Drag & Drop: Modify pending orders effortlessly by dragging them to the desired price.
      Drag_drop_2

    • Position Management: Exit the positions directly from the chart.
      Position_exit

    • Instant Placement: Enable this in TradingView settings for fast order placement without opening the order window.

  • Unified Management Panel: A new panel at the bottom provides instant access to market depth, open orders, and active positions, with real-time P&L tracking. Traders can manage everything without navigating away from the current screen, as order modifications or cancellations are accessible via the open orders panel and positions can be exited directly from the position panel.
    Performing a two-finger tap on the specific instrument in the Orderbook or Positions will launch its chart. Once the chart opens, that position will automatically be displayed at the top of the positions panel for effortless management.

  • Enhanced Utility:
    • Market Protection: Easily toggle Market Protection on/off by tapping the ‘M’ logo when a Market order is selected. This is applicable even in the regular order window.
      Market_Protection

    • Multi-Chart Support: Introducing support for multiple charts on the app. This enables users to monitor both spot prices and options contracts on a single screen, simplifying the options trading process.
      Multiple_charts

    • Layouts: Save up to 10 custom layouts, just like on the web.

    • Add-ons: Incorporating a Compare feature for different instruments.

Points to Remember:

  • Trading directly from the chart is exclusive to TradingView charts (though the mini order window will function on IQ charts as well).
  • Preferences set in the regular order window will sync with the mini order window to keep your workflow consistent.
  • Product and order details are abbreviated in the position and orderbook panel. A Buy order is denoted by B, whereas a Sell order is represented by S. Similarly, abbreviations are used for product types: CNC is indicated by C, NRML by N, MIS by a yellow M, and MTF by a blue M.

Stay tuned for the full release, and do share your feedback once you get a chance to try it out.

What about the live indicative profit or loss amount for target and stop loss orders ?
@DhanushK

You didn’t add alerts in charts??
Like horizontal or trendline

I have asked it many times
@DhanushK

This is already on our to-do list. With several changes already included in this build, we could not accommodate it this time. We will add it in a future release.

In this update adding stop loss (SL) and target lines for option positions is limited to the options chart.

However, key technical levels like resistance and support are often derived from the underlying index chart (e.g., Nifty or Bank Nifty).So enabling ATO lines visible on index chart & making the lines drag-and-drop type on the INDEX CHART for linked option positions would be very helpful.

@DhanushK i do not see the reverse position option in the TFC, is it not part of this release yet?

Noted. We shall look into the possibilities.

This feature is available. Disable crosshair by tapping anywhere in the chart > tap on the P&L shown in the chart > long-press on the position P&L indicator shown on the chart. This will give various options, along with the reverse positions option.

@DhanushK , filled the form, still not have access to beta version, can you pls look into it

I filled the form yesterday, still not have access to beta version.

You should be able to install the beta version by today EOD or tomorrow morning.

Hi any update on this to show indicative values for estimated profit and loss rather than showing stp lmt and tgt tags.
@DhanushK @siva

This will take time.

TOP100CASE and SML100CASE show as available for intraday margin, but they are not available in Kite.

These are available on Kite, and we offer up to 5× leverage on these products.

Reverse position: This is different from how it looks on the web version

I’m not a beta user, so I don’t have this update on my mobile yet.

I’m facing a new issue in the mobile app today. Whenever I open a chart, it doesn’t load the chart I clicked on—it loads the previously opened chart instead. I have to press Refresh to see the correct chart.

I’ve also tried closing and reopening the app and restarting my phone, but the issue still persists.

Also, the values in the previously loaded chart don’t get updated automatically.

kindly check

and when are you planning to roll out this for all users
thanks

Could you share your client ID in a DM so I can assist with this?

Production rollout started; all clients should receive this by next week.
