Excellent question. I traded from home for 7 years, 1 year from a co-working space. Now moved into a own office - that’s how good working from a co-working space was for me!

So based on my personal experience, which might be unique to me, I would suggest a co-working space

hi @BALA. How did working in co-working space help you more than working from home. Can you please share your experience.

As for me trading from co-working space is much much better because I am planning to get really good with all that things here really. I do not see any other solution. I am here in the working mood and I paid money for renting that space, it’s important for me.

I’d say it depends less on the location and more on how well the environment supports your trading routine.

Trading from home gives you comfort, privacy, lower costs, and complete control over your setup. For someone who already has good discipline, that can be enough. The downside is that home can also bring distractions—family, phone, household work, or the temptation to keep watching the market all day.

A co-working space can provide a more structured work environment. Having a dedicated place to sit and trade may help create a routine and separate trading from personal life. But it also comes with costs, noise/privacy concerns, and potentially more distractions.

For me, the important things are:

  • Stable internet and a backup connection
  • Reliable power backup
  • A quiet environment
  • Multiple-monitor setup if required
  • Minimal distractions
  • Fixed trading hours
  • A proper risk-management plan

So rather than asking “Home or co-working space?”, I’d ask: “Where can I consistently follow my trading plan without unnecessary distractions?”

The right environment is the one that helps you stay focused, patient, and disciplined.

Both are waste of time. Run your trades via python API hosted from a VPS online. Don’t waste your life and time doing trading…

Driving a car was interesting and manual process. It no longer is … Same applies here too.

I think trading from home is better if you have a quiet space and can avoid distractions. You save money and get more flexibility. A co-working space is useful if you need a fixed routine and a professional environment.

At the end of the day, discipline matters more than the place you trade from.
