Trading in F&O Banned stock

Hi,

I know that we cannot create new positions in stock which is in F&O ban period.
But if I am already carrying the position before BAN, can I square -off the position first and later add it again in intraday? As this action would not effect the OI?
Is this possible in Zerodha platform?

If you square off your carry forward F&O position which is in ban period, then you can re-enter the position again on the same day but it has to be in the same product type which is NRML. Buying it in MIS will be seen by the system as taking a new position and this will not be allowed.
