The speed at which Zerodha launches things vs how other broker (the one which must not be named) are releasing things makes me wonder — is engineering that slow? Is it team size? Is it a vision mismatch? Is it some thing else?
Honestly, please take this as constructive criticism only because I love everything zerodha has built over the years, Coin is absolutely amazing, Kite and Varsity are magnificent apps. But you know the thing is, people who don’t adapt to the changing eras, get left behind very fast.
I just hope Zerodha does not fall into that pit, I really hope the likes of Kamath brothers and others would have thought this through.
As a user, this is absolutely ridiculously slow speed of launching basic features in the Indian Market — features that are readily available in every tom - rick - and harry trading terminals in the US market, features that the brokers in India are now launching niche products for.
If this qualifies as an interview call, I am always interested
Yes, it takes too much time to load charts, making them less usable. I rarely open charts on Kite because of the loading time. Instead, I use the TradingView website for charts. One tab has Kite open and the other has TradingView, and switching between them becomes irritating. @siva@Arockiya_Raja Please look into this
Furthermore, although Zerodha provides preset watchlists for Nifty 50, Midcap 150, etc., they are rarely used because scrolling through the watchlist is difficult. Pressing the down arrow does not open the next chart from the watchlist scrip. (We can do this with down arrow + C, but why make it complicated when easier options exist? On the TradingView website, we can simply scroll through the watchlist using the down arrow or spacebar, so users prefer that over Zerodha.) @siva@Arockiya_Raja Please consider this as well
This is common problem, and it takes common sense to solve this. We don’t know why zerodha team dont work on this immediately. When is switched to Dhan I feel buggy experience but smooth charts , then I switched to zerodha here everything is okaish but charts are buggy. I don’t know what should I do. . I do scalping or sometimes Short term. @Arockiya_Raja@nithin_kumrr
Currently, users can open a chart for stock A and an order window for stock B. This option will need to be discontinued, which may break some users’ experience. The functionality will be covered in the upcoming terminal mode that we are working on.
Do you notice slowness only when opening the chart for the first time from dashboard/orders/positions, or also when switching between Chart A and Chart B as well?
The first time opening takes a lot of time. Switching between charts is faster, but still slow compared to TradingView.
Also, I doubt how many people actually use this. From what I’ve seen, most traders use charts these days and switch between them frequently. If someone wants to see the chart of one instrument and the market depth of another, they can easily do it with just one mouse click.
Are yaar bhai, zerodha valo, TFC dedo yaar mobile par. Badi zaroorat hai, samjho thoda hame bhi. Hazaro users ki taraf se request samjho ye meri. Or vo watchlist bhi sync kara do app or web par. Iske baad jo kuch feature laao aram se laate rehna. Filhaal ye kaam kara do yaar. Please
We’re actively working on TFC and the new Marketwatch for the app. The upgraded TV charts are scheduled for this weekend, followed by another app update needed before TFC goes live for a smoother experience. Marketwatch will also be rolled out simultaneously. We understand the concern and regret the delay, but we’re doing everything to release this out as soon as possible.
TFC currently shows only current PnL values but no absolute values of Profit on Target or Loss on SL as shown in image. It will be a better upgrade @Arockiya_Raja
Zoom in/out can be done using the two-finger pinch/expand gesture. To enable the reset button. Open the settings available on the top-right of the charts > click on canvas > Under buttons select the option as Always visible on both Navigation and Pane.
