Unable to get my own money from COIN Zerodha

Hi All (even though, I’m sure this thread will get delisted as soon as I post it)

This is yet another example of Zerodha’s and its support system’s incompetence. But this is more than that!

  • On March 21, I decided to redeem some units from my mutual funds. It required CDSL TPIN. I used that.
  • The redemption order was added.
  • Later, it got rejected with an error "UNRID - Transaction Is Cancelled As There Is No Matching Sell Transaction"
  • On March 22, I raised the ticket, already with limited hope to get it resolved given my experience with their support team… and what can I say, you didn’t disappoint! :smiley:

It has been more than a week and the support team is clueless as to how to solve it. I’ve asked for details - on what they think the issue is; what are they doing to resolve it - multiple times over the last week. I get nothing in writing. Every time, I get the following template

I’ve 5 copies of the same message on this ticket itself - #20220322394111.

I call them. They are clueless because they can’t reach the person who is ‘working’ on the ticket. They call me, to tell me a laundry list of potential issues (which gives me more confidence that they are absolutely clueless):

  • The CDSL TPIN sometimes creates the issue - well, I re-attempted the redemption. It failed with the same error
  • You’ve two Demat accounts - joint and individual. That might be creating issues - well, the joint account has been decoupled and deactivated MONTHS ago

Again, they would not put this all in writing. Classic butt-covering tactic.

ZERODHA - I mean WHAT THE FUCK is wrong with you? I use the account so occasionally. But every second thing I do results in some god-damn issue. Each of those issues takes over a month to resolve - and not without MULTIPLE escalations such as these!

And this is an issue coming up on COIN. Your new version! It was supposed to solve all the problems after making us wait for YEARS! Fucking bullshit

Imagine an emergency scenario where I need my money. I want to redeem some MFs. But, I cannot do that BECAUSE YOUR COIN IS DYSFUNCTIONAL. YOUR SYSTEMS ARE DYSFUNCTIONAL. YOUR SUPPORT SYSTEM IS DYSFUNCTIONAL. YOU ARE PRACTICALLY HOLDING MY MONEY AND NOT LETTING ME ACCESS TO IT.

SO, FUCK YOU ZERODHA. GET YOUR FUCKING HOUSE IN ORDER! ASK YOUR LEADERSHIP TO START FOCUSSING ON GETTING THE SUPPORT SYSTEM RIGHT … AND MAYBE YOU’LL GET THERE BY 2030.
