Unable to sell silverm strike

i am unable to sell silverm 303500ce error showing that exchange has discontinued fresh trade in the strike. If that is the case, then why this strike is showing in MCX Option Chain as well as available at kite.

Also, if trading is not permitted in this strike, then how there can be buyer at 100. (I have attached screenshot). If a buyer is allowed to place order, then a seller must also be allowed to sell. Really strange

Perhaps the buyer is only exiting existing position…

MCX has stopped new trades in 250 strike Silver options.

Only 1000 strike interval contracts can be traded fresh now.

If a 250 strike still has open interest (someone already holding a position), it will:
• Continue to show in the option chain
• Show buyers/sellers
• But no new positions are allowed

That’s why you’re seeing bids.

No i dont think its like that. There are many strikes other than in multiple of thosands where there is no volume, no open interest, but still buyer and seller present. In my screenshot 236500, 236750, 237500, 237750 and many strikes where no volume, no OI but still ask and bid present. How can exchange allow them to place orders

Bids/asks can show even with 0 volume/OI if someone places limit orders to exit or wait.

to exit what? there is no oi means no positions. then exit for what?
