It helps with the publicity/PR if people post about this daily, and not weekly or monthly…

what he said was correct - how he said that got a bad PR !
MTMs will wipe the slate clean end of day, so even if someone ends a day at loss unrealized & exits the trade tomorrow at a small profit. And he shares that +ve screenshot on social media - people will be fooled.
zerodha does not reset prices as per MTM, its easier to comprehend.

I think this was a solution to address fake mtm screenshots and not a silver bullet to expose all scamsters. In which case, has worked wonderfully.
People who are greedy will tend to make themselves gullible and inevitably fall for scams.
This can’t be changed with technology.
