Voltas Bluestarco. Have we reached peak AC?

With coming revolution in EVs and consequent decline in ICEs vehicles ambeint temperatures across our country is bound to go down, which would mean less need for air conditioning which means less need for VOLTAS or Bluestracor, etc. Have we reached peak AC? Any thoughts?

No. A huge part of India sleeps without AC. A huge market is still untapped.

Also just how many EVs do you see on the roads?

rapid shift towards EVs and dumping ICEs for good isn’t gonna decrease global temperature. we are no way technologically equipped to tap clean energy source to entirely power our transportation systems.
by adopting to EVs, we are only gonna change the point of green house emission from roads to power plants. still a colossal part of our generated electricity comes from dirty sources. this isn’t gonna change much untill we see a definite clear cut signals of us running out of dirty energy.

still AC is luxury for a significant part of our population. with thousands of people daily moving out of poverty into middle class, AC companies aren’t gonna run out business.

besides, upper middle class peoples will start using multiple ACs and ACs are after all machines with limited design period (7-8 yrs). when an AC stops working, you know for sure that people are gonna buy a new one to replace dead AC, because they are used to the comfort.
