My understanding about volume is the number of shares traded in a day, but the volume chart in Kite app has two options, up volume and down volume. I don’t understand the meaning of up and down. Can somebody explain this please?
Volume on UP candle is shown as Green and on a Down candle it is Red.
That’s right. Now, volume corresponding to upward price movement is termed as up volume and shown in green color, while the volume corresponding to downward price movement is termed as down volume and shown in red color.
