Volume indicator in Option Chain NSE site

Hi,

In the Option chain page in NSE site the volume indicator is always less than the Change in OI. Should this be the other way around. Why the Volume is less than the change in OI itself?

Volume is number of contracts traded. Multiply volume by contract size and the result will be more than OI.

Thanks …i thought the change in OI is also in contracts terms

Yeah that is a common cause of confusion - Volume is no of contracts traded while OI is the actual quantity.
