RMS: Margin Exceeds, Required:[amount], Available:[amount] , order validation level will be appended to this.
This error occurs when cash margin available is not sufficient to place that order.
Example - Cash margin available is Rs 50,000 but the user is trying to buy stocks [or open a new NFO/MCX/CDS position] for the value of Rs 80,000 - this rejection error shows up as -
RMS: Margin Exceeds, Required:[80000], Available:[50000], for entity account - [ID] across exchange across product
This error also when absolute values are entered instead of difference amount while placing a Bracket order in Kite.
This error also occurs when a user is trying to place an order when margin is blocked for an order that is already open & pending execution.
