What exactly happens with shareholders of companies involved in share swap deal

For e.g. consider following scenarios

Scenario 1: I hold 1000 shares of Bandhan bank

Scenario 2: I hold 1000 shares of Gruh finance.

In above two scenarios what changes would happen to my holdings.

@dheeraj : your 1000 shares of Gruh finance will become 568 shares of Bandhan bank , thus on completion of this exercise of amalgamation /merger you will have total 1568 shares of Bandhan bank.there will be no Gruh finance shares.this process will take few months say about 8-10 .
this is very common in market and right now too there are 7-8 such cases live other than the above.
