This must be the worst day for Put Sellers.

First time i did option writing in my life, heavy put writing yesterday with huge margins

What to do now? :thinking:

@Jason_Castelino must be knowing…

Be relaxed take popcorn & enjoy NIFTY charts

Broker is calling me and asking for margin, i told him wait i am ordering popcorn from blinkit meanwhile

Not very bad for my style of trading. If we get a follow up selling tomorrow, then it can hurt me.

Get in slow but get out fast - applies to option selling very much! :running_woman:‍:arrow_right::running_man:‍:arrow_right:
Never use more than 5-7% of margin on any single trade. :dizzy:

I think @Newbie420 is trolling.

Ugh! Volatility. Things were better when we had only one expiry. Is SEBI working for retail or Jane street?

It’s all good. Temporary positions went to red yesterday and back to green today.

That’s a quality of a good hedge fund manager. I belief you should post something on yesterday scenario how positions are managed in such a volatile day.

Nothing much. I don’t put in full margin. I was short at 76000pe and i was quick to move to 75000pe with 3 times the qty to match the premium. Was betting on not falling another 2 percent today. That’s it.
But because of volatility I got good premium on the call side. So yesterday volatility actually helped me to make higher returns than I would otherwise make.

On net basis I am around 1 percent down at account level compared to Tuesday close. And nifty is down by a bigger margin. So I am outperforming. That’s all that I target.
