What if I purchase stocks using trading Profits?

If I purchase a stock and keep it, I won’t be taxed right ?
Similarly, If I purchase a stock on my trading profits which doesn’t required liquidity for now. In this case, at the end of FY. I won’t be taxed on trading profits ?

You have to pay tax on trading profits regardless of whether itis in cash or used to purchase stocks.

Z and many brokers give you a tax pnl, have a look at it if you are already trading and investing.

Hey @Lognath,

Taxes need to be paid on the profits that you earn.

Hence, you do not have to pay taxes on the stocks that you hold, however, the trading profits would be taxable.

As rightly mentioned by @Chirag1, you can download the tax P&L from the respective broker and get the details.

Hope this helps!
