BFO is BSE Futures and Options, NFO in Nifty (NSE) Futures and Options.

As @ShubhS9 has mentioned, BFO is BSE Futures & Options. BSE like NSE also allows trading in the derivative segment - Stock Futures & Options and Index Futures & Options. To sign up for any segment including NFO, you have to either sign (if opening account offline) or select the appropriate segment(if opening account online) at the time of account opening.
