Did you use Bloomberg terminal when you were a trader.

No, couldn’t afford it. But now that I have seen what it does, there is nothing special a retail trader can do with it. Today it is mostly used for collaboration and hence used by institutions.

Bloomberg provides so much data, you might not have even dreamt about. While its used across all asset classes, its predominantly used within bond markets. But not many retail investors trade bonds.

Some of the features that not everyone know are :

  1. Some of the most high profile jobs in finance are posted on bloomberg which you cannot find on naukri or linked in.

  2. Secure instant messaging

  3. Bloomberg Map

  4. Shopping Luxury items

  5. Bloomberg was one of the first terminal to provide Relative Rotation Graphs (RRG). Though now its available on stockcharts.com as well.

I’m quite sure by the time one becomes successful enough to afford boomberg, He’ll know what to do with it.
