Price action is encompassed in technical and chart pattern analysis, which attempt to find order in the sometimes Price action is simply how prices change - the action of price. It is readily observed in markets where liquidity and price volatility are highest, but anything that is bought or sold freely in a market will per se demonstrate price action.

I used to confuse price action with candlesticks, just mentioning so you don’t hold the same notion. Candlesticks is just a part, there are more patterns which you can use to trade. I am not sure which because I am NOT a price action trader.
