What is MT4? Does it work better than Zerodha for charts and email/mobile trigger alerts?
MT4 and Amibroker are dedicated Technical Analysis Platforms for trading needs.
For chart analysis, they work better than any retail trading platforms, provided you feed them with an expensive data feed that costs 1000’s of INR per month.
If you plan to feed the MT4 with cheap data-feed you are better off with a normal retail trading platform.
Implementing MT4 as a part of your trading , requires to have a certain amount of computing skills.
Triggering alerts to your mobile email is possible with MT4, provided you have the programming skills to implement it on your own.
If you are looking for just mobile alerts, trying the investing.com app which is free and easy for simple tasks.

Thank you for the abovenote, it is helpful. Can you tell me what is the best way paid or free to get mobile alert for technical indicator based action. E.g. when RsI of crude/ nickel crosses 70 etc.
I would be surprised if actually there is no way to receive a sms or a email alert for technical indicator triggers such as crossover of RSI or MACD. Help requested
