Technical Analysis is the forecasting of future financial price movements based on an examination of past price movements. Like weather forecasting, technical analysis does not result in absolute predictions about the future. Instead, technical analysis can help investors anticipate what is "likely" to happen to prices over time. Technical analysis uses a wide variety of charts that show price over time.
Tecnical Analysis could also be reffered to Palmistry where same thing happens.. which is very famous in our country, said to be several thousand years back Valmiki had written a book on it comparing thousand's of hands... It is now used to predict the future Educatin, Life expectancy, Wealth etc the odds are better..
TA works or not is for you to decide, as it does for people with good strategies..

Technical analysis is nothing but using basic mathematics to forecast what could be the likely which could happen in the market. It uses the historical data and estimates certain parameters.
It does not work always. Since the general retail trading pool, follows it, it most likely works as it was told.
