What is the difference between leverage and margin? Are both same?
Leverage is an (OFFER) from broker to buy instrument for more than what you have. Ex: You have 100 Rs, You can buy an instrument worth of 500 or 600 or 1000 or more with leverage offered products.
Margin is an requirement from client to enter a trade. Ex: If you want to buy a stock of 100, You should hold Margin of 100 in your account. Or if you want to buy leverage product, you need to have minimum margin ( lets say 20 Rs At least)
