I can not find record date for infosys bonus offer of 2018 …neither any other date like ex record date
September 5 is the revised date as record date it means those who buy till September 03 will get bonus.
ex date is September 04.

so if I bought it today …I will get the bonus?
and btw lets say I bought it tomorrow …so as per T+2 cycle …it will not be in my name on 5th which is record date so what happens to those shares?
@curiousvi : you will get 1:1 bonus on your purchase of September 03.shares purchased on September 04 will be due on September 06 as per t plus 2 means will not get bonus as record date is September 05.
that is a relief …but what will happen that in 0.01% chance my broker is right…I already purchased today…so if my broker is right than the seller who I purchased from will get bonus and I will be at huge loss correct? I mean half of the money will be at loss …for example about 700 Rs per share will be loss?
@curiousvi : company /registrar will take list from nsdl-cdsl EOD on Septmber 05 from nsdl and cdsl wherein settlement take place by afternoon.your broker is 100 % wrong in saying so that today’s purchase will not get bonus.
frankly speaking your purchase of today is enough to give you bonus irrespective of shares credited in your demat on record date or not by broker.if not credited or late credited your broker is responsible to give bonus as he will get same from selling broker.if credited on time that is on anytime on septmber 05 you will get directly from company.

yeah I know what you mean …and I talked to him again…and he said …ideally by 2 pm it should be in my demat account but many times he has seen shares dont get delivered in time …so we consider it T+3 to be safe…
once you purchased CUM bonus that is on today September 03 it is the responsibility of broker i maintain responsibility of broker to give you bonus if he fail to credit the shares eod September 05 the record date.

My broker is kinda lazy or not professional enough so I am worried that he might not do it right
it is 6 pm or later . i can say this by very recent experience in case of TCS where i had 100 shares in few folios but closing price on 17 August made me shift 1 share from each demat account to some other demat to be in Reserved category where acceptance ratio is likely to be 100% . since record date was Saturday 18 august being trading holiday i took the advantage and submitted the offline DIS slip at around 5 pm when my dp told me that they will accept it till 6 pm . so it is very very clear that company will take list from nsdl -cdsl after 6 pm only or perhaps after 12 in the night !

@curiousvi : based on past records of Tcs and Infosys bonus should be in demat by 07 Septmber . 5th September eod list from nsdl-cdsl etc 6th September bonus allotment and application to exchanges for listing and 7th September listing.
I just received contract note from broker that shows my purchase date today and it says settlement date - 05/09/2018 and says NET BUY DELIVERY …I guess all is well
