Explained on this post.

In the main box : Buying limit price Rs 100Ā

In the square off box: click on Absolute and mentionĀ 5 or click on ticks and mention 100 (1 rsĀ = 20 ticks)

In the stoploss box: click on absolute and mention 3 or ticks and mention 60

If you click on the trailing ticks button(to enable trailing SL), if you have chosen absolute then mention 1 or if you have chosen ticks mention 20.Ā

Hope this clarifies.Ā

For values like 0.5, 0.25, 0.8 etc, you cannot set absolute values. The minimum absolute value is 1.Ā In that case, one needs to use Ticks.

For almost all shares and indices minimum tick is 0.05, which means 1 unit or 1 rupee is equal to 20 ticks.

For IndiaVIX the tick size is 0.0025. So be careful with that.

Also currency futures and interest rate futuresĀ are having tick sizeĀ 0.0025. Need to be careful with that too.

In trailing Tick sholud we use absolute value or only ticks ?

You can use either.

I use absolute value because I feel its easy than tick, not need to make calculation every time that is Rs. 1 =20 tick., but its your choice what you feel easy.
