Here in India we know there are some conditions for a stock to be in FNO but I am not sure if there are criteria for the same in US. Can anyone throw some light on it?

This page on Investopedia mentions about the criteria that a company needs to meet for options to be traded on its stock -
For Stock Futures, similar criteria need to be met (Refer to Listing Standards sub-heading present on Page 3 of this document)
