Not able to find what is the STT charged for ETFs. Checked the list of charges on Zerodha’s website and NSE website too.
Can somebody help? @Bhuvan @Kshiteesh_Saralaya
STT is only applicable for Equity Oriented Funds on the sell side at a rate of 0.001%. STT on intraday sell will be levied at a rate of 0.025%.
It is not applicable to debt (Liquid/Gilt), commodity (Gold) and International ETFs (N100).
You can check out the STT applicability and non-applicability report here for a comprehensive list of ETFs.
Here’s the link to the STT schedule.
Hi team, there seems to be some discrepancy here. I was going through Zerodha’s inbuilt fee calculator, and as per that I would be charged 0.1% (2300 on 23L of Pharmabees purchase) rather than 0.001% as stated by you. Can you please confirm once? @nithin @MohammedFaisal @siva
Hi @Anuj_Sharma1 , in the virtual contract note, the charges section shows a default applicable to equities. However, by the end of the day, you will be charged STT at 0.001% for ETFs, as mentioned here.
You can verify this by looking at the contract note. Our team is working on fixing this for certain ETFs.
