Hi, I recently got the Flipkart Axis Bank Credit Card, but I realized that the credit limit is very low, I only got 19K despite giving them my HDFC Bank credit card statement with 200K limit as income proof.
Is this because of their 5% unlimited cashback on Flipkart and minimum 1.5% on all transactions? If you have the card, could you please share your limit?
I think they will increase the limit
They gave 1/5 th of my primary credit card limit
Even I am waiting for limit increase
I got the card just 2 months back so not complaining
@AJ007 I see, did you give any income proof? They asked me for IT returns but the In-person KYC agent told me a copy of my CC statement should suffice.
@rakesh_prajapat Same question, did you give income proof? Was 40K your initial limit or did they increase it?
I also suspect some kind of miscommunication, Axis Bank representatives were very insistent about income proof (IT or Pay Slips) when they were enquiring me.
But the thing is, my father also applied for the same CC and he got told none of that, even the KYC guy didn’t take any kind of income proof from him. His card was approved recently and his limit is 15K, only a little less than me.
So I suspect my statement may have never been submitted and Axis Bank’s algorithm must have calculated my limit based on that limited information.
I found this article on Axis Bank’s website which says the credit card limit can be enhanced by submitting documents (3 month salary slips and bank statement OR IT returns).
I contacted them via live chat and their representative informed me that I need to use my card for 6 months without any issues before they would consider me for credit limit enhancement.
Wow… it seems they have some other criteria. My credit score is good (~850) so I don’t think that’s a factor, perhaps it is because my Flipkart account doesn’t have a lot of purchase history, I mainly use Amazon.
