Where do I find if my account is dormant/inactive

Is it true one must trade at least once in last 12 months in order to keep account active?

JUST log in to kite and watch charts is not enough?

Also where do I check my account is dormant …can I see it in console if yes where?

That’s correct. It is compulsory to trade (buy or sell) at least once in a year. This is as per the regulations.

You can see the banner in your kite. You can also check the Segments (manage segments) section in your console.

Banner in kite? can you show me a example screenshot ?
As per my tradebook in console - I have not traded since dec 23 - but I dont see anywhere if my account is dormant - that is why asked if login to kite/console and watching chart in kite is enough to keep it active ?

Hi @Meher_Smaran ,
Please confirm what are all the factors you consider before marking an account as dormant.

Hi @Arvin720 , Parameter is quite straightforward. As per the regulations, There has to be a successful transaction (buy/sell) for account to remain active. Else, it has to be marked dormant

Adding to what @Meher_Smaran said , if your account is inactive (meaning no buying or selling for that particular segment) for the period of 24 months as per the latest NSE circular, then only your account will be marked as dormant.

Earlier, the criteria were for 12 months.
