It depends on the type of trade or your trading style. Mostly indicators works best in their patterns. For example a trend following indicator would work better in a trending market and will fail on side ways market. Swing or mean reversions indicators with small targets might work best on side ways. It’s the same story in any market be it forex, commodities or equity.
If you are carrying positions to next day in forex, then there could be chances of gap opening which might be against you. It would be good idea to carry forward the position in the major trend of particular currency then on trend in low time frames.
May be you should build a strategy based on indicators and do backtest to get a broad idea. You could use platform like streak or inuvest.tech to check them out.
