Who designed this Stupid alert page?

if I have multiple tabs open, When I get a alert and dismiss it, I have to dismiss it on all other tabs. If I have say 3 alerts getting triggered and 4 chart tabs open, I have to dismiss the alert 12 times.

Solution: Dismissing a alert should be sent to the server, which should dismiss it on all other channels except those on completely different platforms like email and app notifications.

Yeah, my solution requires a actual explicit user action of closing it, so it solves the above issue @nithin was talking about. In any case, app/email notifications shouldn’t be interfered with.

Got it but don’t think there is a easy fix for this.

Could you explain why you think my solution would not be feasible or hard? Maybe we can think of a better solution.

If I have read an email in Gmail app, it’ll be marked read in the app as well as in the server or anywhere else I open gmail, like the web browser.

yes currently due to this limitation whenever i set alert i had to write the price also in alerts name for which i am setting alert which creates a friction . if you can easily display in notification the price of alert that would be really helpful

Alert saved my money three days ago. I had purchased a particular stock called Genus power. I had also created a GTT with Stop loss and target. I put the stop loss at 220. THe stock was trading at 270 . So i put an alert at 250. At the end of market close the stock made a bizarre dive and triggered the alert so quickly saw a freak downside and was able to cancel the GTT order. The Stock touched it lower circuit of 210 and then recovered back to 267 all in five minutes.

Hi. What is the update on launch date for this feature?

Can take few more months.

How can we not be serious about these timelines? This is a crucial feature which was originally in Sensibull as well but then was later removed
@nithin

On our top priority only, we are working on it and should be out in couple of months.

Any update on this considering last timeline commitment was March end?

there are some issues:

  1. when i create new alert in kite then i get teleported to alerts tab, i mean whats the point of it? if i create 10 alerts back to back with instruments in watchlist i get teleported to alerts tab every single time😭. i mean i know where the alerts tab is. it feels like tutorial of where the tabs are, takes more time to create alerts.
  2. make infinite scrolling enable in ORDERS tab so that we can swipe left once instead of swiping right 5 time to alerts tab.
  3. why market depth remains open if i select a price while modifing a order, and it says SELECTED on top of price that i select, it again feels like tutorial. it take a second to close it, wastes precious time. zerodha can introduce tutorial of kite to new user but these things are frustrating for guys like me.

Last time I said few more months, yes, we are working on it, can’t give exact ETA and it is on our priority list.

Last time you had sent by end of this quarter. Nonetheless, if you want to change your stance

Still no update on this? There should be some seriousness and proactive updates on timelines @siva

As mentioned earlier we are working on this and many other things simultaneously, we will only announce it out once it is ready, can’t mention exact date.

This is what happens when with more power comes zero responsibility @siva @nithin

It’s like ceasefire. Keeps extending.

Earlier @siva had mentioned end of march, then it became few months, and now it is indefinite
