Why Day open price is different than the open price at 9:15 AM?

Dear Expert Traders,

I have seen this quite often that the open price mentioned in google finance or even in Zerodha Kite/Pi doesnt match with the open price at 9:15 AM or the open price of the first 1 min candle. Do you have any idea why is it so?

For eg, RCOM opened at 51.60 INR but we can clearly see that the open at 9:15 AM is 52.05 INR.

Dear Sir,

Actually there is something called as Pre-Open Session in Stock Market. It starts from 9.00 AM and lasts till 9.15 AM and mainly carried out in 3 slots -

1. Order Collection - 9.00 AM to 9.08 AM

2. Ascertaining Equilibrium Price (This is the Open Price) - 9.08 AM to 9.12 AM

3. Buffer - 9.12 AM to 9.15 AM

During this session orders are collected to ascertain the price of the stock and orders placed during that time cannot be cancelled.
