Why do sebi allow companies to collect heavy premimums compared to its face value for new ipos?

Earlier new ipos didn’t used to collect heavy premiums. Isn’t it unfair to retail investor to collect heavy premiums and allot shares of face value of re. 10/- only?

Hello Trader,

  1. The issue price is decided by the company and its banker with no interference from SEBI or the exchange.

  2. IPO issues are also called Capital Markets, which also means the Sellers are biased over the Buyers.
