Why F&O needs to be activated in Zerodha for pledging stocks? Like I don’t trade F&O at all but I want margin only for equity Intraday but it’s not possible without activating the F&O segment. Isn’t it possible to seperate the pledging for Equity Intraday and F&O?

Almost all trade fno primarily by pledging stocks, so from the beginning we have kept our process that way. Will see if we can do some changes to it in coming days but for now it stays.

yes , there should be option to disable individual segments. For example , a trader might just want to do index options and avoid stock options or MCX commodities. But keeping the segment enabled exposes him to risk of freak trades, misclicks, trades caused by account hacks. Similarly, someone might just want to do intraday and avoid F&O.
