I wonder why Nifty is called as nifty and Sensex is called as Sensex.
Is there any actual meaning for these words ?
The term Nifty is derived from the combination National and Fifty as Nifty consists of 50 actively traded stocks

The BSE SENSEX (also known as the S&P Bombay Stock Exchange Sens itive Index or simply the SENSEX )
