tradingview charts suddenly started giving delayed data to free users. I expected someone would make a post about it here since this change might have caused hassle to a lot of users. Do very few people use it ? 15 mins delay is a lot.

you can login via brokers supported by tradingview in india to get the realtime data back

Tbh, I’m still quite confused about this whole thing. From what I understand, NSE controls/licences the market data and TradingView is basically distributing that data. So I get that there are data licensing/entitlement costs involved.
But what I don’t really understand is why this has suddenly changed now, with free users getting 15-min delayed data.
TradingView’s own docs still say real-time NSE data is available by default for non-professional users, so the whole thing feels a bit unclear.
And the timing is also strange, this started happening right around the NSE IPO period, I’m not saying the two are connected, but the timing definitely makes me curious.
Would be good to know what exactly changed between NSE and TradingView here, and who actually decided to move the free feed to 15-min delay…

TV can change there offerings anytime so to make some more $$ they stopped giving real time data for NSE on free plan. BSE data was always paid though.
Few days ago I bought monthly subscription, after it happend, it kept on showing slower data…but I don’t remember that, it asked something to confirm to use live data regarding NSE…then I did and for me it shows live data…
