Why is settlement time for mutual funds so long ? Will it reduce anytime soon ? @Bhuvan

That depends on the AMCs. Hopefull, over time it should reduce.

I think that it depends on mutual fund. You should be informed about settlement time when you invest with specific fund. At least, you can read terms and conditions, or customer contract to see what is expected time for funds to be settled
