Why is STT high when I only did one trade?

I have only one transaction during this financial year: an IPO worth 14837 sold for 15491. The STT charges during this period are around 1000 INR. Can someone explain this? Why is it so high?

stt for equity delivery is 0.1% on both buy and sell.

put in the values in brokerage calc. check if it gives stt > 1000.

But we should input the price, not the total value, into the calculator.
I got 37 qt at a cost of 401 and sold all 37 qt for 418.70. STT charges should be 30 INR, not +1K.
The buy price is 401, and the sell price is 418.70. Quantity 37. STT, calculated with the calculator, 30 only.

yes that makes sense if buy and sell amount was 401 and 418. maybe something else we are missing.

I too have this kind of issue , i did not go through deep in it , i will also cross check like you , Thank you , some thing is wrong with Kite Platform

The consolidated charges in the Tax P&L report include both realized and unrealized trades.

If you have purchased stocks during the quarter / financial year but have not sold them, these will also be included in the consolidated charges.

You can refer to the tradebook on Console, and the contract notes for breakdown of charges for each trading date.
