Why is there no option to change the target price just once if the order is executed in multiple trades?

I placed a Bracket order today and it got executed in 20 different trades. When I tried to modify the target, I had to do it for every single order i.e., 20 different times. This is really frustrating for the users and there are very high chances that this could result in loss as every second matters in trading. Changing the prices at 20 different places could eat significant time of yours.

Unfortunately, You have only 2 Option to Achive this for Now…

  1. Manually Change the target 20 Times.
  2. Follow option 1.

A bracket order will create a new stoploss and target order everytime a partial quantity fills in it. That is the design of a bracket order. Each of these split target orders will have its own order id. So the orderbook will show 5 different target orders and if you wish to modify the target price, then i’m afraid you need to modify them individually.
This is the disadvantage of trading equity using BO. What you could do is use a Cover order but you will have to enter at market price and your exit will also be a market order.
But the best way to trade in BO is using futures as your order will execute in lots.

And the best way to trade equity intraday is using MIS, if leverage is not a concern for you.
