Why should we sign forex declaration forms for CDS activation?

I understand this is needed for forex derivatives. But bond derivatives also come under “CDS” segment and we are allowed to trade in it without FEMA involvement. Right? @siva

So, Why should we “falsely” declare that I have a contractual fx position for CDS activation?

People who trade just Interest rate futures are very less, in this case if you don’t want to give declaration and want to trade only IRF you can create a ticket and let me know the number, we will enable it for you. We ask declaration because these interest rate futures comes under currencies segment.
