Why Warren Buffett isn't a fan of gold

Gold prices are hitting record highs, but Warren Buffett still isn’t interested. He feels gold just sits there and doesn’t really do anything, unlike companies that grow and make money. Finshots explained his take really well.

If gold’s been on your mind, this one’s definitely worth a read.

They don’t buy gold for what it does.
They buy it hoping that someone else will be willing to pay more for it later.

Gold investing is often driven by fear, not logic.
It’s all about ‘recency bias’.
People focus on recent gains rather than long term performance.

And when something becomes scarce, it only gets more valuable.

This reminds me of Cryptos (Bitcoin in particular), as all the above points seem to apply to it too.
