Why Zerodha Still Restricts Linking Multiple Bank Accounts?

Hi Team Zerodha,

I have a small concern and suggestion regarding bank account linking in Zerodha.

Currently, Zerodha allows linking only 3 bank account. This limitation often becomes inconvenient, especially when compared with platforms like Groww and Dhan, which allow users to link multiple bank accounts (up to 5).

In today’s trading and investing environment, many of us manage funds through different bank accounts — for example:

One account for personal savings

Another for business or salary income

A joint account for family investments

Or even a separate account for F&O margins or SIP allocations

Having the option to link multiple accounts makes it much more flexible and efficient to manage funds and track investments.

So my question is —

:point_right: Why doesn’t Zerodha allow linking more than one or two bank accounts to a single demat account?

:point_right: Is there any plan to introduce this feature soon, considering how convenient it is on other broker platforms?

It would be great if Zerodha could enable linking at least up to 5 bank accounts, even if withdrawals are restricted to the primary one. This would really improve the overall user experience without compromising security.

Thanks in advance,
Dhiraz

I was asking the same thing

Not sure about the reason, but i am curious why do you need 4-5 different accounts for one demat account? I might be missing something here, so curious why the need to maintain multiple bank accounts? Isn’t it possible to do everything you have listed through the same account?

They allow linking multiple banks. However, other linked banks will be treated as secondary account and you can only add funds from the secondary bank. You can withdraw funds only to the primary bank.
