Jack Bogle is a giant among men. He created the world’s first index fund and he is the founder of Vanguard and has been the most vocal proponent of low cost investing. The company today is one of the biggest asset managers in world. Vanguard is single headedly responsible for driving mutual funds down. Jack Bogle has done more for investors than anybody in the history of humanity.
Some estimates put that Jack Bogle over 40 years has helped investors save over $250 billion dollars in costs.
I came across this fascinating conversation he had sometime ago with Antti Ilmanen and Rodney N. Sullivan of AQR. There’s plenty of timeless wisdom here on investing right.
