Please apply for a full fledged banking licence to RBI
I need zerodha Bank(Banking services from zerodha)
Zerodha can provide following features:-

  1. savings or current a/c
  2. Fully Digital only one branch
  3. For Salary credit or other income credits
  4. Auto payment feature enabled
  5. zero interest rate
  6. Can have AMC
  7. Complete privacy about transaction, account information ( can be provide to Govt agencies) but not to employees including unauthorised individual persons
  8. Good mobile application as KITE
  9. Good internet banking
  10. No Calls over phone

Believe RBI stopped issuing New banking licenses from some time.

@siva @nithin Would Zerodha ever consider starting a neobank. Give your own layer of software on top of an established bank.

In an interview you had mentioned that lending is a major challenge in being a full fledged bank, but I believe that challenge is reduced to a large extent in a neobank.

Neobank is not really a bank, just a user experience layer on top of a bank. So, no, it would not be of interest.

Hi @nithin

There is really a genuine need and gap in the market to create create a good experience for customers by giving the services what customers really need but not what bank want to sell. I sincerely hope someday to be a customer of zerodha bank where I can get zerodha standards of ethics, customer obsession and simplicity.

I know you guys know all these I just wanted to reiterate and join the voice.
