I ust saw, we can only select 50 stocks at once in CDSL authorization. It used to be 100. Also clicking the “main tick box” selects all stocks upto 100 stocks instead of just 50 stocks.
So I had to click the main button to select 73 stocks, and then unselect 23 stocks to authorize first 50 stocks. Then manually check bottom 23 stocks.
If you guys can’t let me select 100 stocks at once. Can you guys add few buttons to automatically select stocks from “0-50”,“50-100”,“100-150”,“150-200”,“200-250”,“250-300”,“300-350”,“350-400”
like this? Sometimes, I own more than 300-400 stocks. It is a hectic task to select all manually
How does it limit? Is it just a trust system where CDSL has to trust broker to debit only when there is a sell trade by client?
Or does CDSL verify with exchanges that client has traded on XYZ stocks and allow zerodha/DP to withdraw only those specific stocks.
What I mean is, is actually safer or just working on “trust the broker” model? Nothing wrong with it, I trust Zerodha. Just don’t want a scenario where stocks leave my demat without permission.
Also, If just in case someone gets access to my demat account somehow. TPIN OTP protects them from selling the stock. Tho it is unlikely scenario for most users.
Also it can protect from broker technical errors? What if broker’s RMS sells stocks due to error? Is that possible?
