Hi whenever I check my contract note for any delivery trade there is 0.01 rs of brokerage charged for the trade is it like that the zerodha charges brokerage on delivery despite stating zero delivery brokerage or there is some issue in contract note generation. Is this issue specific to me or anyone else is facing this also ?
Indian tax and contract rules do not allow a service to be provided for an absolute ₹0 fee on a contract note. Zerodha charges a token amount of 1 paisa (₹0.01) per contract note even though equity delivery brokerage itself is free.
