At the moment, you won’t be able to analyze secondary demat holdings through the Kite MCP, as it currently pulls its data from Kite holdings.

We’ve noted this as feedback, and we’ll look into the feasibility.

Is buying or selling via Claude possible? I am using it only for analysis and don’t want any executable actions through Claude AI.

Kite MCP works based on the tools you allow it to use. It does not have unrestricted access to your trading account.

For example, if you ask an AI agent to fetch your holdings, it will first identify the relevant MCP tool. Before performing any action, it will request your consent and only proceed after you approve it.

You don’t need to worry about actions like placing orders or accessing order history—AI assistants cannot perform these unless you have granted permission for those specific tools. Even if the AI selects an incorrect tool, you will always have the option to review and reject the request.

This ensures you remain fully in control, and the AI agent can be safely used purely for analysis without executing any trades.

  • Market Data MCP - for real time data like current market price
  • News Service MCP - for news and its impact on my portfolio
    so the claude portfolio analysis may be bit helpful for me ?

Does I can pull the breakdown - or purchase and sales history via MCP connection ?.

  1. Yes, you can fetch real-time market prices via the Kite MCP.

  2. Currently, the MCP does not have a feature to fetch the news.

At the moment, you can’t fetch historical orders data via Kite MCP.
