Zomato’s Deepinder Goyal is Now Making Jet Engines?

Yep, the same guy who brought food to our doorstep in 30 minutes is now aiming to build jet engines.

Deepinder Goyal has launched a new company called LAT Aerospace in Bengaluru. The goal? Build India’s own gas turbine engines to power drones, small planes, and aircraft that can take off from short runways.

What’s crazy is this is something even DRDO has been trying to do for years.

No government delays here. Just a bunch of engineers trying to build powerful engines from scratch.

Food to flight what a leap!

Is this a wild gamble or the smartest move yet?

What do you think can a food-tech guy really crack jet tech?

Drawing in CAD is easy, material science and casting/machining is hard. :face_in_clouds:
Power is easy, efficiency is hard. :face_in_clouds:

Good luck to him, it’s not an easy path :tada:

True, the real challenge is definitely in the materials and manufacturing, not just the design. Curious to see how they tackle supply chain and certification hurdles too.

This just gives me OLA vibes. Cab service guy creating own maps and now manufacturing cars and trying to make AI. Same same but different.
